I am David, I started running in 2020, during Covid like many of us probably did.
The beginning was a bit difficult, but with training, I completed my first 10km, then a half marathon.
Three years after starting running, I ran my first marathon: the Marathon du Médoc in France: 44km. A wonderful experience, great atmosphere, and many memories! I did it with a friend who participates in ultra-trails. I don’t have an easy schedule between work: I travel a lot, and my family. It’s a matter of organizing my schedule and adjusting my hours to train. Generally between 12pm and 2pm and very early in the morning!
I have also done various trails and my last marathon: the Marathon des vins de Blayes in May 2024.
I am also fortunate to be supported by my wife and our daughters. It is always nice to have a word of love and encouragement slipped into my bag with a marathon. It gives immense energy and is very motivating.
I also have my medals with me every day attached to my watch. This reminds me of all the journey traveled and all the memories lived and those to come!
Currently, I am preparing for the Berlin Marathon at the end of September 2024.
